Listen up folks - we need YOUR input! β€ΌοΈπŸ“£ T Listen up folks - we need YOUR input! β€ΌοΈπŸ“£ The Kansas Forest Service has been informed that the Kansas Department of Agriculture is requesting public comment on a proposal to limit the number of Callery pear trees (Pyrus calleryana) planted in Kansas each year. The proposal would include trees named Bradford, Cleveland Select, Chanticleer, and others. To submit a public comment on the proposal to restrict the movement of Callery pear trees into and within the state of Kansas, please visit https://www.agriculture.ks.gov/PublicComment (link in our bio!)

And remember: friends don't let friends plant invasive species, but they do encourage them to do things like vote and speak up for the environment! Please share and submit your concern. Our natural areas depend on it. 🌿
