Kim Bomberger, of the Kansas Forest Service, puts Kim Bomberger, of the Kansas Forest Service, puts it this way: “Dare to be different.”

“Just last week, I told an audience to look around their own yard and neighborhood and pick something different,” she said, “to build landscape resiliency.”

We couldn't agree more, especially with invasive species like Emerald Ash Borer on the rise! An increase in biodiversity means stronger, healthier, and happier communities for all. A few of our favorites featured on these lists include Kentucky Coffee (Gymnocladus dioicus), Swamp White Oak (Quercus bicolor), and American Hornbeam (Carpinus caroliniana). 🌳

What are your favorite native trees? Are you adding more trees to your landscape this year? Read more about tree species and proper installation methods in this insightful @kcur893 article. Link in our bio.
