Columbine

Nodding red and yellow blooms in April and May that attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bumblebees. It grows easily in well-drained soil in sun to partshade, often self-seeding to form colonies on rocky slopes and woodland edges. After blooming, plants can be cut back to the ground to encourage fresh foliage.
