The first season of Habitat Garden Tours, which wrapped last month, exceeded our wildest dreams.
From the start our philosophy has been: Seeing is believing, experience is transformative, community is power.
Thank you for seeing so deeply, experiencing so joyfully, and creating such a powerful sense of community. What a privilege, on Second Saturdays, to be greeted by your enthusiasm and smiles. We had a wonderful time and hope you did too.
THANK YOU
We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our wonderful garden hosts and our many volunteers for generously giving of their time and expertise. But the secret sauce was our visitors – it’s not a tour without you! In total, from April to October, you made almost 4,000 visits to our 20 gardens.
So many of you subscribed to the season, spread the word to neighbors and fellow gardeners, and brought friends and family. You showed up in all kinds of weather, admired very different styles of gardens, took photos, asked questions, studied signs, helped yourselves to free plants and coloring books, and came back month after month, wearing your Habitat Garden buttons. You made this so much fun.
SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS
One final request before winter: Please watch your email. A season survey is coming your way next week. (It will look similar to the monthly address emails).
We’d be grateful if you took the time to let us know what you found most inspiring and helpful, what actions you may have taken, or ideas that may have changed as a result of attending the tours, and what would help you learn or enjoy the tours even more next year. Your responses and feedback will be invaluable in helping us plan the 2025 season. Thank you again for supporting Habitat Garden Tours. See you next year!
