Want to start your own prairie? Shrinking turf law Want to start your own prairie? Shrinking turf lawn is not only better for nature, but it also saves time, money, and valuable resources. With the majority of Missouri land being privately owned, it’s critical that we steward and create native habitat where we can.

Join us tomorrow for our virtual "Lunch and Learn: DIY Prairie Restoration" at 12pm CST. See how private landowners, Mark and Jenny, worked with Missouri Department of Conservation to convert several acres of turf lawn to a pastoral native prairie restoration.

Stick around for the live Q&A with Cassandra Messer, Private Land Conservationist of MDC, at the end of the program to learn about state-wide resources and how you can transform your space into native habitat.
