You may be familiar with the “Mighty MO”, but the Blue River is truly the life force of Kansas City. 2/3 of rainfall in the metropolitan area flows through the Blue River Watershed. Beginning in Johnson County, Kansas it moves through Kansas City, Missouri spanning 41 miles to join the Missouri River. People, plants, and wildlife depend on clean water to survive. Join Deep Roots as we explore landscapes along the river, meet organizations that advocate for its health, and discuss ways to enjoy recreational activities in the Blue River Valley.
