It’s one thing to read about native plants and another to get your hands dirty in the garden! Learn seasonal gardening skills with hands-on sessions in various native gardens at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center. Be empowered and grow community alongside native plant experts and enthusiasts. Each session offers different topics.

10/6 – 5-7pm Demonstration Garden – Best practices for residential gardeners. Managing warm season annuals and editing prolific native plants

10/8 – 9-11am Invasive Species Round-Up – Learn to identify and manage common non-native invasive species like Bush Honeysuckle, Wintercreeper, Tree of Heaven, and Vining Honeysuckle.

10/14 – 9-11am Deep Roots Demonstration Garden – Best practices for residential gardeners. Managing warm season annuals and editing prolific native plants

10/20 – 5-7pm Bioswale Beautification – Managing warm season annuals and editing out prolific native plants.
